Operations and Events Manager
Logistics support. You will own all our tournaments and leagues from a logistical perspective. This including locking in venues, creating schedules, communicating with team captains and ensuring all equipment is ready.
Staffing. Our team of 30-40 contract employees (Officials and Event Coordinators) will look to you for scheduling and guidance. You will also be responsible for growing and engaging our team through hiring and retention strategies.
Customer experience. In addition to making sure our leagues and events have a fun and unique spin, you’ll also be charged with answering all customer calls and emails during your shift. You will be the primary face of ATX at events and leagues to ensure customers know you and you know them.
Marketing. The website, social media and newsletter are all in your domain. You will be charged with keeping them updated, accurate and fresh.
Office management. You keep the office looking great and also handle some of the smaller details that keep a small business running.
Attention to detail. Organizing is your domain and you ensure all t’s are crossed and i’s are dotted. Nothing slips through the cracks with your focus.
Energy. You bring an attitude of fun and excitement wherever you go. Whether you’re tackling a new challenge or setting up an event, you do it with a smile and enthusiasm.
Love for people. Being around lots of people - familiar and new - is one of your favorite things. You love to meet people from all backgrounds and making sure everyone is having a great time.
Commitment. When you say something will be done, it’s done. Meeting deadlines and making the impossible possible are pride points for you. You also have reliable transportation that can ideally transport equipment for events.
Hours. This position is 30-40 hours per week and hours will flex based on event needs. You will always have your schedule at least two weeks in advance and the hours will be primarily afternoons and evenings with some weekends.
Pay. Dependent on experience and fit for the role.
