PLAYThe game is initiated by a rock, paper, scissors for possession. The winner can elect to receive the pull or choose the endzone they will defend. The teams will switch sides at halftime. The team who received the initial pull will throw off to begin the 2nd half. Each subsequent point begins with both teams lining up on the front of their respective end zone line. The defense throws ("pulls") the disc to the offense. 

SCORING: Each time the offense completes a pass in the defense's end zone, the offense scores a point. Play is initiated after each score.

DISC MOVEMENT: The disc may be advanced in any direction by completing a pass to a teammate. Players may not run with the disc. The person with the disc ("thrower") has ten seconds to throw the disc. The defender guarding the thrower ("marker") counts out the stall count.

CHANGE OF POSSESSION: When a pass is not completed (e.g. out of bounds, drop, block, interception), the defense immediately takes possession of the disc and becomes the offense.

SUBSTITUTIONS: Players not in the game may replace players in the game after a score and during an injury timeout.

NON CONTACT: No physical contact is allowed between players. Picks and screens are also prohibited. A foul occurs when contact is made. A defender must give 

FOULS: A foul includes: Contact between opposing players, when the marker counts at intervals of less than one second, when more than one defensive player is guarding the thrower within 10 feet, if the marker touches or is less than one disc diameter away from the thrower, when a thrower fails to establish a pivot foot at the appropriate spot on the field, and/or to keep in contact with that spot until the throw is released, when a defensive player knocks the disc out of a thrower’s hands, or obstructing the movement of a player on the opposing team. 

SELF-OFFICIATING: Players are responsible for their own foul and line calls. Players resolve their own disputes. The ATXSA official is a scorekeeper, not a referee.

UNIFORMS: All players must wear ATXSA shirts as their game uniforms. Each player not wearing a shirt will result in 1 point for the opposing team. 

PLAYERS: The game is 7x7. There must be at least 3 female players on the field at all times. 

GAME TIME: The game is two 20 minute halves with a 5 minute halftime. Each team is given 1 timeout per half. Timeouts are 60 seconds in duration. Only the offense can call timeout. 

OVERTIME: Overtime only occurs during playoffs and is sudden death format - first team to score wins.

FIGHTING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.  ANY INSTANCES OF FIGHTING MAY RESULT IN A TEAM FORFEIT OF THE TOURNAMENT WITHOUT REFUND AND POSSIBLE EXPULSIONS FROM FUTURE TOURNAMENTS.
